This was a great episode that touched on many critical points. One that resonated with me was the discussion around aging, ableism, and capitalism.
Having just celebrated my dad's heavenly birthday, I'm strong PRO-aging, because I'd be grateful to make it past my father's 63 years. Given that my autoimmune symptoms have been particularly pronounced since Sunday, I doubt I'll be able to do 11 pushups anytime soon.
If it hadn't been for my father's passing I still would hold onto the belief that I needed to "embrace the suck" and push past my pain. I've learned that being "productive" isn't just about what I can do, but how I can redefine health in our very capitalist society.
Needless to say, this podcast is a great listen so highly recommend you tune in :-)
